Maria Begoña Criado Alonso

Maria Begoña Criado has experience gained as coordinator of the CTeSP course in Gerontology at CESPU, namely the direct contact with institutions aimed at the elderly population population or linked to local government, has provided an understanding of the reality of aging in Northern aging in the North of Portugal and the difficulties experienced by the elderly population in access to health services. The study visits and the coordination of internships in a real work environment for the course's students, have also contributed to thisexperience, which justifies their inclusion in the research team. Add to this the more than 30 years of experience of participation in funded projects and master's and doctoral orientations. In the last 5 years he has been researcher responsible for the project "Loneliness in the elderly and its influence in health" and co-author of 9 publications in indexed international journals, several of them in the area of public health.
